Current roles in sport development, coaching, and high-performance support include:

  • Performance Life Coach, High Performance Sport New Zealand — delivering athlete-centred 1:1 coaching and programmes for personal development, transitions into/through/out of the high-performance pathway, education/career planning, and wellbeing as part of the national Performance Life team.

  • Sport and Coaching Lead, Waikato Institute for Leadership and Sport (WILSS) — designing and delivering leadership development, coach education pathways, volunteer programmes, and sport-specific initiatives.

  • Founder and Performance Coach, Playbook Coaching — providing private 1:1 performance coaching, mentorship, and custom development programmes for athletes, coaches, referees, and professionals.

My Story:

I was a high school and university dropout, fired 3 times between 18-25. Stuck walking a path that I knew wasn’t for me.

By 30, I worked a corporate job I was unhappy in. Hustled after hours as a dance party promoter. Invested every cent I had in real estate. Literally worked day and night, six days per week.

Then it hit me… complete burnout. I decided I wanted something different. To focus on what I enjoy and naturally excel at.

I took night classes, quit the high-paying corporate job, coached in my local sports association, and tutored coaching and leadership courses. Most recently, I was appointed Performance Life Coach at High Performance Sport New Zealand, bringing direct experience from the national high-performance system into both system-level athlete support and my private practice at Playbook Coaching.

  • Designed sport development programmes and pathways for schools and major sport orgs.

  • Facilitated 100s of Coach, Referee, and Leadership workshops.

  • Personally coached international athletes, referees, and young professionals.

  • Led strategic planning, review, and community engagement projects.
